Wahei Enzo Flat-Bottomed Carbon Steel Induction Wok (1.6mm Thick) 28cm

This IH Compatible Carbon Steel Wok by Wahei Enzo is versatile, durable, light, and very easy to cook with. The great thing about this wok is that although it has a thick bottom, which is great for heat-distribution and retention, it is still exceptionally light and easy to handle.

The typical dishes cooked in woks, like stir-fries and fried rice, require to you lift and shake the wok often, to flip and toss the ingredients. Using a traditional heavy iron wok makes this a tiring task. Wahei Enzo wanted to solve this issue by creating a quality, carbon steel wok that was light enough to be handled the way a wok should, without causing fatigue. After creating multiple prototypes, they landed on this as their final creation. They've created a wok that has fantastic heat-retention, that can crisp-up your vegetables and fried rice super easily, retaining all of the fantastic qualities of steel cookware, while reducing its weight to the minimum amount. 

Wahei Enzo have used domestic, Japanese steel and special spin processing techniques to maintain the strength of the material, while making the sides of the wok thin and light. Because of these techniques, this wok is exceptionally resistant to warping and deformation, and can be a tool you can rely on for years to come.

The handle slightly angles up, making it easier to hold, and its stainless-steel-wrapped beech wood construction is comfortable and elegant. 

Care

When using for the first time, please season the pan thoroughly with oil. To season, first wash the pan with soapy water, then heat over medium until all of the water dries. Turn off the heat, and put an inch of oil into the pan, heat over low for three minutes, and then pour out and discard the oil. Let it cool, and wipe the surface with kitchen paper.

After use, wash while warm with water and a gentle sponge (do not use dish soap), dry thoroughly and apply a thin layer of oil with kitchen paper.
